Larry Ng Shiu Hei received his professional training from both the pedagogy of Lecoq and Decroux. He finished the two-year full-time training in physical and devising theatre at LISPA (Lecoq approach) and the one-year full-time certificate training (Decroux technique) at the International School of Corporeal Mime in London. In addition, he graduated from the Centre for Playback Theater (New York) and is now a member in the Curriculum Development Committee under the Center. He is also a registered drama therapy trainee in North America drama Therapy Association (NADTA) and registered hypnotherapist in IMDHA (US). He learnt mask making from Familie Floez (Germany) and is currently in the one-month systematic professional training led by Donato Sartori this summer in Centro Maschere e Strutture Gestuali (Italy).
Larry was Mime Artist in Residence at the Hong Kong Mime Festival 2009, was selected to be Hong Kong’s youth representative at the 2010 International Drama Education Association World Congress, and has worked in a wide range of community and educational contexts (with young people, women, the mentally ill, students with special needs). In 2015, he was one of the guest mime artist in the XV Warsaw International Mime Festival, the first Chinese artist invited to this Festival, to perform and teach masterclass.
